I am a Licensed Social Worker providing social work services to the students and families in the Interboro School District.  Many are unaware of the role of a School Social Worker.  I consider myself a resource to the guidance department - consulting with your child's counselor to provide additional supports to promote academic success and emotional well-being.

I can help with many things, including:

School issues - attendance issues, peer relation problems, behavior concerns and assist in removing academic barriers.

Home issues - abuse and neglect concerns, financial issues, mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues, grief/loss, and divorce.

Community resources - connecting families to appropriate programs in the community.

I coordinate the Student Assistance Program (SAP).  SAP is a state-wide program designed to assist school personnel with identifying issues which may pose a barrier to student success.  Our team consists of our administrative team, school nurse, school counselors and trained teachers.  We meet on a weekly basis to support students in need.

This community is amazing and has provided me a wonderful place to work.  I am a proud Interboro Alumni (class of 91') and truly believe Interboro School District has the ability to provide each student an opportunity to be successful.  I look forward to beginning my 15th school year in this wonderful community.  I am always available to help.
