Each day, students can expect an opening activity that reinforces vocabulary, measuring skills, and serves as a good way to get motivated for class.
I expect students to participate as much as possible, but will certainly understand if he/she is having an "off" day and would like to keep to himself. There are lots of opportunities for students to receive help from one another and discuss their work. My goal is to always have a learning community, where everyone chips in to help.
On my back board, is a weekly log of what assignments were completed each day of the week and the homework for each day. Also, there is a section on the board where I write upcoming assignment due dates and etc. As a side note, you can expect homework 4-5 days a week.
Please be sure to check the HAC site, so that you can check on grades and/or assignments that your child is missing. I update grades as soon as possible, so, it would be a good idea to check every week.
