• College Prep American Government and Politics
     
    This is a college preparatory course designed to develop the reading, writing, and testing skills a college bound student will need. The course examines and analyzes the underlying principles, structure, and major institutions of United States Federal, State, and Local governments. Current issues in American politics, education, and society will be included. This course also examines civic education by studying the individual rights and responsibilities of US citizens. Extensive reading, writing, and testing are threaded throughout the course along with major projects. PA Civics and Government Standards 5.1-5.4 are integrated fully.
     
    Career and Co-Taught American Government and Politics
     
    This is a general survey course designed for the students in the Applied Technical track and will enter the workforce upon graduation. The course surveys the underlying principles, structure, and major institutions of United States Federal, State, and Local governments. Current issues in American politics, education, and society will be included. This course also includes civic education by studying the individual rights and responsibilities of the US citizen. General reading, writing, and testing are threaded throughout the course. PA Civics and Government Standards 5.1-5.4 are integrated fully.
