Fund: ARP ESSER Learning Loss Set Aside  
PDE Overview: 
Implementation of evidence-based interventions to address learning loss and provide summer enrichment and comprehensive after-school programs in response to the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students, particularly subgroups of students disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, in accordance with section 2001(f)(1) of the ARP Act. 

At LEAST: 

  • 30% must be used for social, emotional and mental health supports 
  • 10% must be used for professional development and technical assistance to educators, school support staff, school leaders and school health professionals to address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students 
  • 8% must be used for reading support and improvement for students

Fund: Homeless Children and Youth (ARP-HCY) 
PDE Overview: Identification of homeless children and youth, provision of wraparound services due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and effort to make it easier for homeless students to participate in school activities like in-person instruction and extracurricular activities.
