Kindergarten - General Music

List of Main Themes/Units

  • Concepts: tuneful singing, loud and soft, beat, high and low voice, fast and slow, high and low melody, rhythm  

  • Performing 

    • Singing various folk songs, unaccompanied or accompanied by classroom instruments 

    • Playing classroom instruments to the steady beat, loud and soft, fast and slow 

    • Playing classroom instruments to contemporary songs 

  • Listening 

    • Various musical examples that demonstrate loud and soft, high and low, fast and slow 

    • Aural questioning about musical pieces or new songs taught in class 

  • Creating 

    • Creating movements to songs 

    • Improvising musical answers to musical questions  

  • Responding 

    • Answering questions about new songs taught 

    • Evaluating and identifying known concepts in various songs

First Grade - General Music

Third Grade - General Music

Fourth Grade - General Music
