No Place for Hate is a program which fosters student leadership in uniting school communities and engaging in practices to proactively address bias and reduce bullying.
Community Schools
Learning Objectives:
- Students will watch and reflect on The Present, a short film about a boy with a disability.
- Students will learn more about people with disabilities.
- Students will create a comic strip that highlights a part of the story or another story that resonates with them to celebrate differences and inclusionary practices.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students learned about disabilities and inclusion. They then drew pictures of ways they could include everyone. Pictures were turned into classroom books for use in the classroom’s library.
