Charter School Bussing

    Transportation is offered to charter school students attending a private school within 10-miles of the district boundaries.  To receive transportation to a charter school, eligible students must complete and submit both forms included in the Transportation Only Registration Packet as well as residency documents.

     

    Charter School Registration 2026-2027 School Year

    Charter school registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open on June 15, 2026.  Registration is due by July 30, 2026, to guarantee bussing for the first week of the 2026-2027 School Year.  One form must be completed for each student.  Registration needs to be completed yearly.

    Transportation Attendance

    If your student will be absent from transportation, report the absence on our District website at www.interborosd.org under the Absence Reporting tab through the Transportation Absence link. It is imperative that transportation absences are reported every time.  After students are not present for the vehicle 3 times due to unreported absences, students are moved to a call list and must call the office every time a ride is needed. 

    If transportation is not taken to school, you must notify the office prior to 11am if transportation is needed in the afternoon.  If we do not take a student to school, we will assume they are absent and do not need transportation home from school.

    Students who do not utilize their transportation will be removed from vehicle rosters after 10 consecutive days of no vehicle use.  If transportation needs to be reinstated, please contact the transportation office.  You can expect your child to be rerouted within 2 weeks of the request to resume transportation.
