Dr. Elana Weinstein

Hello!  My name is Elana Weinstein and I am the school psychologist for Prospect Park.  The 2020-2021 school year will be my 12th year working in the Interboro School District.  I am a graduate of Penn State and earned my Educational Specialist and Doctoral degrees from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  In the past I have served as adjunct faculty at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  I currently serve on the board of the Delaware County Association of School Psychologists.

You may see me around Prospect Park with my dog Bailey.  Bailey is a therapy dog for the Interboro School District's Paws to Learn Program.  He recently turned 13 years old but he is young at heart!  He loves coming to school and being with all of the students and staff as much as possible!!

School psychologists work in schools to help children succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.  School psychologists are trained in both psychology and education.  Areas emphasized in our training include learning, behavior, mental health, educational interventions, child development, assessment, and school law.  We collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students.
