Degrees and Certifications:
You never know where life will take you! With my three years of French that I studied at Ridley High School, the Chester Pike Rotary Club chose me to be an exchange student for one school year ---in Chihuahua, Mexico! It wasn't the place I thought I would be sent to but I learned to speak Spanish while living and taking classes there. Upon my return, I majored in Spanish Education at Bloomsburg State (now University). Years later, I was chosen to be a Fulbright exchange teacher in Chile, South America. That was an incredible experience which lasted five years. So, when people ask me what the best way is to learn a language, I always tell them to spend as much time as possible in a country that speaks that language. It's like a living language laboratory!
This is my 17th year at Interboro. I'm teaching Spanish II and III this year and am the Advisor for Spanish Club and Business Manager for the Yearbook.
