• Private School Transportation

      Transportation is offered to private school students in grades K-2 and 9-12 attending a private school within 10-miles of the district boundaries.

       

      Private School Registration

      To receive transportation to a non-public school, eligible students must complete and submit both forms included in the Transportation Only Registration Packet.  Both forms must be completed and submitted to the registration department by August 1st, 2025 to guarantee bussing for the first week of the 2025-2026 School Year.  Registration fro the 2025-2026 School Year will open June 24th, 2025.  One form must be completed for each student.  Registration needs to be completed yearly.

      Early Dismissal Transportation

      Transportation is provided for 3 early dismissals for the 25/26 school year.  

      • Early dismissals 1 hour or less than regular dismissal: The bus will automatically arrive for students at the regular dismissal time.
      • Early dismissals over 1 hour earlier than normal dismissal time: The bus will not automatically arrive at normal dismissal time.  Parents must call the transportation office to request the bus prior to 11am if needed on these dates.  The bus will only arrive at the normal dismissal time.

       

      Inclement Weather

      • Weather related school closure - All transportation provided by the District that day will be canceled.
      • Weather related virtual instruction day - All transportation provided by the District that day will be canceled.
      • Weather related 2-hour delay - All transportation provided by the District will operate on a 2-hour delay.
      • Non weather related delay - transportation will be provided at normal times.

       

      Transportation Attendance

      If your student will be absent from transportation, report the absence on our District website at www.interborosd.org under the Absence Reporting tab through the Transportation Absence link. 

      If transportation is not taken to school, you must notify the office prior to 11am if transportation is needed in the afternoon.  If we do not take a student to school, we will assume they are absent and do not need transportation home from school.

      Students who do not utilize their transportation will be removed from vehicle rosters after 10 consecutive days of no vehicle use.  If transportation needs to be reinstated, please contact the transportation office.  You can expect your child to be rerouted within 2 weeks of the request to resume transportation.
