The Title I grant is a federally funded formula grant. Interboro's Title I funding allotment for the 2016-17 school year is $614,126. Interboro Title I funding is used to improve academic achievement in reading. The Title I funds are used to hire reading specialists and para-professionals, improve curriculum, enhance parent involvement and extend learning time for students who need extra help. These opportunities are provided for students in grades K-5 in the area of reading.
