Sixth to Eighth Grades - Art
Art in grades 6-8 advances students’ student of a variety of art materials and techniques. Students will use knowledge of the elements of Art, color theory, and Art History along with critical thinking skills to hold class discussions and complete studio activities. Each year, we practice and refine our skills and experiment with new techniques and mediums.

- Learn more advanced use of scissors, pencils, crayons, markers, glue, paint, and paper folding, tracing, ruler usage
- Elements and Principles of Art
- Color Theory
- Compare and contrast artwork.
- Use art vocabulary to talk about themes, subjects, and main ideas, styles and artists.
- Explain ideas, thoughts, experiences and feelings expressed in personal artwork.
