    Course Description: Students learn about the American Enterprise System, how businesses are organized, and operate within the economic system.  Students are exposed to various careers in business.  Business concepts are explored in real life scenarios, via projects and videos, where student experience how business affects our lives and society.

    Course Description: Students are introduced to the world of marketing and advertising. They will explore the process of bringing a product or service to market. Topics include product or service conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution. Using a hands on approach to project based learning using real world case studies, a marketing plan will be created for a product or service. Students will also learn how businesses can influence the decisions made by consumers.

    Course Description: This hands-on semester course is designed for the student interested in creating, owning, and managing their own business. Students will explore types of ownership, essential business skills, and abilities needed for successful business ownership. Throughout the semester students will create a business plan for a business idea of their choice.

    Course Description: This is a must have for all students regardless of their academic pursuits. Managing money is one of the most difficult tasks in life. Students will learn about managing savings and investments, buying cars, acquiring and using credit cards, how to buy a house, insurance and more. Students will begin to think about their financial decisions and the consequences they bring.

    Course Description: Students will be introduced to the basic principles of the accounting cycle.  Using real world scenarios, students will learn how to post business transactions in the various accounting journals. Throughout a business simulation, students will experience the accounting cycle firsthand.  Accounting is the language of “Business” and this is a must have for any student interested in any business career.

    Course Description: Students will learn advanced accounting principles with an emphasis on partnership and corporate accounting. The foundation work from Accounting I is used as the building block for this course. Understanding is accomplished through a variety of application, homework, and case problems that are designed to aid the student in grasping essential advanced accounting concepts. Realism is created through the use of a business simulation during the last quarter.
